where does time go?

Addie started teething as a baby at 4 months so I guess it should not surprise me that she would lose a tooth at 5 years old. It just seems like such a milestone! She has had a wiggly tooth for a couple of months and we had been talking about teeth and how they fall out and new ones grow in. Yesterday, while eating lunch, she exclaimed, "MAMA. My tooth is gone!" We looked all over for it, but we *think* she may have swallowed it because we can't find it anywhere! She beamed all day yesterday - so excited that she lost her first tooth!!! She wrote a note to the tooth fairy and left it under her pillow. Addie came running into our room this morning at 6:45am to let us know that the tooth fairy did indeed come, leaving a quarter (our tooth fairy does not believe in inflation!) in a beautiful little sparkly bag.

sigh.

I enjoyed meeting a very glowing mama-to-be this weekend. There is a lot of excitement in the house as this couple awaits their first baby girl.
