Two fun and ADORABLE girls

Cuteness! These two gals met me at Green Lakes last night and what a lovely night it was. We had fun traipsing around the lake and the beautiful trails. Here are just a few pictures that caught my eye as I was quickly going through them.

I'm looking forward to editing your gallery. Thanks for being such good troopers!

Robin and Doug's wedding

Robin and Doug picked a gorgeous fall day to celebrate their wedding. They chose to see each other prior to the ceremony so that the "formal" pictures could be taken ahead of time... they definitely wanted to be at their cocktail hour. I always love watching the bride and groom's behavior toward each other on their wedding day... a quick glance or a little kiss now and then is just so sweet. Doug certainly had the glances down:

And a tender little moment during their first dance...

Genevieve and I set up the photo booth service during the reception...
A studio setup with lights and props = a rocking good time! Young and old got in on the fun... how much do you love these images???!!! So darn cute.

Best wishes Robin and Doug!

Baby in the forest

Ok, so not really the forest, but beautiful Mill Run park. Such a wonderful park to spend the afternoon - go for a walk, stop to look at the beautiful scenery, the water, the moss, the leaves that will soon change to yellow, red and orange... great spot for pictures.

What a peaceful little guy. I just loved him. He didn't mind my basket, even allowing me to put him on his tummy for a few shots. In and out of sleepy slumber, but never making a fuss. He is the fourth child, so I think he knows that his job is to just be the easy baby who goes with the flow!

Had to get a barefoot shot --- as we were counting toes the older brother told me that there are now EIGHT feet for the kids in their family (smart kiddo!).

Thanks for the fun evening. I just love your little family!

book now for fall!

This is a quick little message to let you know that my fall calendar is getting quite busy. I will be taking weekend session appointments on a limited basis - weekday sessions will have a tad more flexibility. My standard session pricing will stay the same, but there are going to be a few changes in extended family/print/CD package/storyboard pricing. I will be posting the new pricing as well as a fall "special" on my blog and website soon. Additionally, I will be sending emails to all of my current clients. If you would like to be added to the email list, please send me a message at info@stephanieantshel.com.
Thanks!

breathtaking...

How lucky am I???? I love my job, especially when I get to meet such wonderful people as I did tonight. Throw in a boat ride on gorgeous Skaneateles Lake and I'd call that a great day "at the office!!!"

This beauty is not just drop dead gorgeous on the outside, but she is a darling young lady full of personality, spunk and charm. We took a boat ride first - it was a perfect night. I thought this picture could handle a little "opaque-ish" tone.

Uhm, hello?? Beautiful.

I loved how mom and daughter interacted... I sensed great joy, respect, lots of laughter and such love in their relationship.

Thank you so very much for inviting me to capture a glimpse of your lives.

Charlotte and Beaufort

I love visiting Charlotte! It is such an easy flight from Syracuse and such a beautiful city to pow around. The shopping is pretty darn good (great sales this time!!) and we just love our cousin Avery!

I've been fortunate to do some sessions for great families in my past visits and this one was no exception. I very quickly perused the images and CAN NOT wait to get home and start editing this session --- two adorable boys, gorgeous lighting, a crisp white outfit, beautiful mom and dad... a dream!! Here is a brief glimpse --
Thanks SO much!

Now, we're off to Beaufort to enjoy some Low Country action (which basically means sitting on the dock watching the world float by!)... I'm ready for a little r&r, it has been crazy lately.

See you after Labor Day!

a session in the rain

I wish it didn't rain during this session last week - the family lives in an old beautiful farmhouse with lots of land, flowers and perfect little spots for pictures. But, alas... the rain got us!

Three generations were represented at this shoot... the grandparents are totally smitten with their two grandsons.

Here is the oldest:

And the youngest (just one month!)

This guy loved looking at his reflection on the glass door. Check out that gorgeous red hair! Whew - Cutie!

He also enjoyed a little dance with his aunt who lives far away. He is a happy guy!

Thanks so much for having me out. I really enjoyed meeting you!

My favorite beach bums!

For the past three years I have been invited to a gorgeous little slice of heaven up north on Lake Ontario to photograph a group of kiddos. This year, the group grew by one as their little brother made his debut visit to the cottage. His presence made it a grand total of 6, yes SIX, brothers and sisters. What fun!

Here is the little guy liking the beach.

Mom had the idea of just letting them play at the beach rather than getting dressed up this year. Love it!
And here they are, being goof balls.

It is quite challenging to get 6 children to all look good in one picture. I think this picture is pretty cute... there is another in the series that I'm saving for Mom.

Jump! Savor it... every last bit of summer. Thanks so much for inviting me again. You are great - - all 6 of you!

bubbles of fun

Awesome outfits. Why is it that kids get to wear the cutest stuff??
This was another fun, high energy session.

This little one was pensive and curious.

This one had some great expressions and smiles!

Thank you, thank you. What a gorgeous night and gorgeous kiddos. Looking forward to working on your gallery.

Pure Joy

I am still reeling about these children... I had a great session this morning with 4 GORGEOUS children. Actually, it is a bit unfair that one family has so many cute kids!! Nonetheless... these 4 were full of spirit, happiness and smiles. I just loved them!

Do they not look like an ad for Polo??

Did I mention gorgeous?

Are you getting my drift??

How about now???

The youngest of the cute ones broke his arm awhile ago. We all had fun signing his "SU" cast. I actually got to go first to sign my name! How lucky am I?!

Just a couple more... I could go on and on, but alas... I have to save some favorites for the gallery.

Thanks so much for having me over. I really enjoyed meeting you guys!

Cousins

Cousins are fun! Just a couple quick images to show from this high energy group of kiddos... three live here and three were visiting from PA, so I'm sure their weekend was full of laughs and non-stop action.
Practice, practice, practice... I can't imagine riding a unicycle is an easy skill to learn but this guy is giving it a great shot! Keep trying...

The sweet little youngest of the bunch. Soulful eyes!
Thanks so much!

family time

Met a lovely family today - busy family with a 5 year old and 5 month old. They were such great sports to brave the bugs to do some great shots near a pond in their backyard (really pretty spot with fish, frogs and cattails) .

We tuckered the little one out --- doesn't she look peaceful!
I like the bright colors in this shot - and I love the laughter.
This shot was taken on the back deck -- the little guy was counting all of the toes in the family. I dig the lines in this image.
Enjoy the rest of your week off!

cool.

Three boys! As I was photographing these guys I kept wondering what it would be like to have all boys --- is the house ever quiet? Is the laundry ever done (although that could be said for any young family)? Is there a sport that hasn't been tried?
I had a fun time with these guys - they were up for anything and were so polite.

Each of them had the coolest rooms. The walls were handpainted with a sports motif. Very neat!
I really enjoyed our morning - thanks for being so much fun!

super fun!

I was excited to visit this great family again.

The little guy is two and FULL OF BEANS!!!! As expected, he wanted no parts of listening to my instructions as to where to sit/stand for certain pictures. So, he did it his way... he started telling his older brother and sister where to sit. He situated this photo - doesn't he look super proud of himself?!

He also liked to run away - so Dad had to capture him and fly him back to the rest of the family.

I thought this moment was sweet with mama and daughter. I gave it a soft/antique-y feel for something different.
Thanks for inviting me over. Enjoyed visiting with you and can't wait to get your gallery ready.
