Getting closer...

It is just about December, it is beginning to feel holiday-ish. Lights adorning homes glow at night, Christmas carols can be heard at any store, wreathes are being hung... 'tis the season!

I'm winding down my sessions, just a couple more scheduled for the season.
I was so happy to meet this young family with a two year old and seven month old... always fun ages!

Pretty pretty little girl... i adore this grin she is wearing!
Love from Mama.
Love it! My favorite part -- the Tigger clutched tightly in his hand. Apparently it is a well-loved stuffed animal.

You can't see it, but Tigger was in his left hand. CUTIE!

Thank you!!

On being grateful...

As I sit in my parent's home in Ohio getting ready for what undoubtedly will be a fun, noisy and delicious day, I realize how thankful I am. My kids are so happy playing in the basement (with ALL the toys) while Papa does his crossword. Nene and I will set the table for the 20+ family who will be here in a few hours. Life is good today, and every day. We have SO much for which to give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This sweet family makes me feel very grateful, too. I have photographed them several times and was so excited to visit them in their new house last week!

So cute!

Thank you guys for being so wonderful! Enjoy this day in your beautiful new home!

Did I say lickin' and touchin' and crazy?

Yesterday I posted about a fun and wonderful family who I enjoy photographing every year. The past couple of years they have had the cousins over for some shots, too. There is never a dull moment...
Here are a few of the cousins...

Pretty girl.

Pretty girl and brother. Love his smirk here. It seems as if he "tolerates" her.

Sister wasn't too happy the morning of our session. A bit grumpy some would say. I love her expression here. Didn't I mention that someone was always lickin', touchin', yellin', antagonizing, or bothering (and smiling and having fun) at all times?

What a great bunch of kids!

Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!!
You guys rock!

Just a few...

I'm going to be in big trouble if I don't post some of these pictures soon.
One of my favorite times of the year... family photos with this clan.
Always laughing (or licking or fighting or yelling or smiling or goofing off... ), NEVER a dull moment.
This is just the beginning... I haven't even really gone thorough the many MANY images we took (there are the cousins that need to be represented on the blog, too.... don't worry, coming soon!).

Ok, stay tuned crazy family... more are coming.

Baby Brother

Three sisters welcomed a new baby brother into the world in October. Just in time for the holidays!!

I don't think they're excited, do you?

Dad is totally smitten by his little boy. These girls will have a good time teaching their brother the ways of the world...
being silly...
being a tad ornery...
and just being cute... (this poor little girl wasn't feeling well during the session - what a trooper, though, she did her best to get some very pretty pictures!)
Mama loves her baby...
I could have stared at him all day, too. Sweet sweet baby!
Thanks so much - so fun to spend the morning with you!

Generations...

I liked this mom from the minute I read her first email. I could tell that she was full of life and love. She was interested in family photos, but my crazy fall schedule didn't fit with her crazy fall schedule (check back in Feb/March for when we do the family session).

Then, she contacted me again wanting to know if we could do a generation session with her grandmother, aunt and two beautiful daughters. Day off of school eased up some time for both of us and alas, we met. I knew I liked this mom. Her energy is contagious, her smile will brighten a room and she is so darn nice.
I had a great time with everyone, actually. I felt very at home with them.

Here she is with her Grandmother. I believe they were laughing about a certain young French penpal that Grandma had when she was a young lady. That topic seemed to get some good smiles out of everyone!

Four generations of hands.

Two cute, cute daughters... very much like their mother; smiley, great personalities, spunky.

Didn't we just see that face? Now you know where her daughters get it. By the way, I do have permission to post this picture... I knew it was going to be funny!
Man, does Mom look content or what? I can feel the love for sure. Love this image!Wonderful to meet you!
Thanks so much.

My favorite triplets!

I think I use that title every time I take pictures of this threesome! Growing big and bigger so fast - I saw them last in January when they turned 3. Now approaching 4 years old they have really changed since last time. So cute and very very sweet!

We met at Grammie and Grampies house with their cousin (who ironically has the SAME birthday as the triplets!) for a fun morning. We braved the flying snowflakes and head out for a few quick pics. It is hard to get three of any kids to stay together for a photo, let alone three of the same age. They did such a great job and there are so many cute ones like this!

I met this cutie when she was about 10 weeks old. I'd say she has changed! She was not givin' the smiles too much but we caught a few!

Then, enter Aunt Katie and she was a happy baby!! Don't you wonder what was going on behind me??
Hand down, probably going to be my favorite picture from the session... LOVE this sweet moment between Grammie and one of the triplets. Love how they're holding hands, love Grammie's smile. Love how I think I can hear the laughter. SO cute!
Thanks so much for inviting me into your wonderful family for the morning. I really enjoyed it!

Fresh

Very very fresh... at just a couple weeks old I had the privilege of meeting Baby A and his silly big brother.

Meet Big Brother. Loves loves loves to read. And talk. And act silly.

Meet Baby Brother. Loves to sleep. And eat. And I'm sure one day he'll be just like his older brother.

Friends already!
Thanks very much! Our session helped brighten the gloomy day.

Luck of the Irish

What a great family! I was the lucky one to be able to work with them.
Fun, easy going, sweet, beautiful - all with the really cool Irish accent. Such good sports, it snowed a bit on the day of their session but we braved the elements and went on an "adventure."

Here are some quickies from a cold yet warm with family and love morning!

I think she looks just like an American Girl Doll. Beauty! This little one is too silly for words. Can you hear her giggle in this image?

Loves to imitate big sister... silly faces from both! Lovin' the outfits- perfect!
Mom and Dad had their own little mini session. Love this one!
Thank you so much for working with the nasty weather - I'm excited to get your gallery ready!
